PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Viviana Modesto Caldeira is a certified Osteopath by the ESSCVP, holding a professional licence issued by the ACSS (Ministry of Health), with extensive clinical experience in musculoskeletal disorders. Her academic path reflects a strong interest in science and innovation: she holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from ISEL and is currently a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, focusing on cell and tissue engineering and articular cartilage regeneration.

As a researcher, she is currently affiliated with the Tissue Engineering Laboratory of CENIMAT|i3N (TELab), with previous experience at the Comprehensive Health Research Center (CHRC) and in the Bioengineering Laboratory research group at ISEL.

In the academic field, she has worked as a lecturer and internship supervisor in the Osteopathy degree programme at ESSCVP and has also taught subjects related to health sciences and anatomy and physiology at various institutions.

She has actively participated in the organisation of several events and courses related to biomedical engineering and health, contributing to scientific communication, thus combining science, teaching, and clinical practice in an approach dedicated to excellence and health promotion.
